Lodge Park in the Lead!
Categories: Principal's Blog
Before coming to Lodge Park I worked at the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) and on a number of occasions worked with Lead Practitioners - people from schools in the UK and abroad who met very high standards of professional development and helped others to do the same. As good luck would have it the programme to become a Lead Practitioner is now available to schools who want to recognise the achievement of their staff and Lodge Park is one of the first to get involved. The film about the programme from the SSAT features some of our staff and in the background quite a lot of our students! If you go to the webpage and can't see the movie it is because you need to have Flash installed on your computer.
If anyone is wondering why my tie changes halfway through the film it is a long story (and for the moment one I plan to keep to myself!).
There are a lot of different qualifications and ways of recognising the professional development of the education workforce - I reckon Lead Practitioner accreditation is one of the most practical and useful and expect a good number of our staff will gain the award in the years ahead.
