Be safe at lunchtime

Categories: School News

As a college we have to be respectful of our neighbours and local residents.  Recently a small minority of students have not lived up to our expectations as a college and in our opinion have caused a nuisance mainly prior to school starting and during lunch breaks. We cannot accept any of our students loitering directly outside resident’s homes, any dropping of litter, noise or any rudeness.

We would appreciate parental cooperation in discussing with children the importance of arriving to school on time and avoiding any loitering in the community.  Any student leaving college premises at lunch time is allowed to do so with the expectation is that they are to go home, and will not to be found congregating in the estate or at local shopping areas.

During week beginning Monday 7th June school staff , police and community wardens will be patrolling the areas that have had concerns. Parents of any student found to be loitering in the community could be contacted by college or the police and we will not hesitate to withdraw a student’s lunch pass where necessary.
