Spirit of Corby Awards

The Spirit of Corby Awards recognise the range of people and organisations that make a huge contribution to our town. We are really pleased to see one of our Trust Partners, Land Securities have been nominated for an award, and are really proud that two of our students are in the final for the young person’s section.

Zoe Owen was nominated for giving up her time to help other young people wherever possible, from helping coach her sister’s football team to helping supply a safe and friendly environment and provide a range of activities at Corby Sport Dimension every school holiday.
 
Grace Ferns was nominated for her work in the development of a new community group (she has so far volunteered around 180 hours during the past 9 months). Grace also runs a netball team in Corby Ladies Netball League, organising affiliations, match fees, ensuring there is a full team each week and taking on umpiring duties without fear. She also assists with the leadership at her dance school.
