Inter-House rivalry and competition for students is all well and good, but when staff are involved the stakes suddenly are awfully high.  Flushed with victory both at Sports Day and in the Big Quiz, Brady may well have been thinking of winning the triple. We've introduced the Staff House Cup to recognise every term the member of staff who through dedication, effort or just plain insanity has done the most to build spirit and commitment from students to their team.

The first time around wasn't easy.  We had Ms Wall for Brady who clapped so hard and shouted so loud at Sports Day that she had bruises on her palms and lost her voice.  We have Mr "Together We Are Stronger" Woodward for Rumbelow who is probably the only man alive who can make a tug of war team win just by the use of his psychic powers.

The winner though this time is Ms Reilly for Parker.  Her guerilla noticeboard grabbing, green wig wearing and general buzz of Parker-citement convinced the judging panel that she is our first winner.  Anyone who can get the English and Maths teams all wearing green T-Shirts is someone with great strength of character!

Of course the other Houses will not take this one lying down and it will be interesting to see the lengths staff will go to to raise the game for their House, inspire everyone to get involved and seize the day!

But for Term 6 of 2009-10 and until October, Parker Are Go!
