French is the only modern language taught at Lodge Park, although Spanish conversation is being introduced for some students this year.

Aims
The aim of the Modern Foreign Language department is to encourage students and staff to achieve their potential using a variety of teaching methods. We provide the highest quality foreign language teaching possible. By target setting on a regular basis we enable students to improve their language skills. We promote the College’s reputation as a learning and training organisation.

Facilities
A great deal of work has been done to ensure that teaching materials and resources are in place for all KS3 and KS4 courses which involve the use of ICT.   The department is housed in the Rumblelow Block and has two sets of laptops and full sets of listening equipment. Projectors are in all rooms to allow staff to use multi media resources with the students.
